Search Strategies in Holistic Design Problems

University of Cambridge
PhD awarded February 2023

My PhD research at the University of Cambridge, generously funded by a RADMA Scholarship, focused on the intricate search processes in holistic design. Through my research, I developed innovative frameworks that address the complexities and interdependencies inherent in holistic design. This research highlighted the limitations of traditional optimisation methods and provided new insights into managing complex design processes effectively. A copy of my thesis can be downloaded from here.

The funding I received from RADMA was crucial in enabling me to pursue my PhD. It covered my international tuition fees, which was essential for me to undertake my research. Additionally, RADMA provided funding for attending and presenting my work at international conferences, enriching my research experience and significantly contributing to my professional growth.

In my professional roles, my current focus is on compliance; however, I have a diverse background in corporate performance management, project management, and the development of quality management systems. My career is marked by significant achievements in strategic policy development, high-profile project leadership, and the promotion of continuous improvement. I leverage the insights and methodologies from my PhD to enhance operational integrity, overseeing rigorous processes and managing risk to ensure that organisational activities meet the highest standards of excellence.
