Exploitation of public sector R&D and the open innovation paradigm: governance of knowledge transfer within public research organisations (PROs)

Birkbeck, University of London
PhD awarded 2023

Following the completion of my studies at Birkbeck, my career path involves several key pursuits. Firstly, I will continue my role as a lecturer, teaching multiple modules at Birkbeck University of London throughout the academic year 2023-24. Additionally, I have taken steps toward securing a British Academy Post-doc Fellowship, having received support approval from the Department of Management at Birkbeck, and I am currently in the process of finalising my application for submission to the British Academy, where the final decision will be made in competition with hundreds of applicants in 2024. Moreover, I am actively working on my research endeavours, with one paper in the final stages for submission to a relevant journal and two others in the pipeline, focusing on topics such as the privatisation of PROs and their collaboration with SMEs. Furthermore, I’m contributing as a research assistant in a collaborative project on the use of crowdsourcing in public organisations. Lastly, I am contemplating establishing a research company as a sole trader (freelancer), aiming to offer research services to the public and private sectors.
